Looking Forward To Hosting You

We are very much looking forward to welcoming you to Trossachs Tryst – Inner peace For A Compassionate World.

Just a few things to consider to help you get here smoothly and to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as you can.

Getting here:

Our address is:

Trossachs Tryst, Invertrossachs Road, Callander, Perthshire FK17 8HW. M: +44 7940 421038

We are well served by public transport.

The nearest airports are Glasgow and Edinburgh.

The nearest train station is Stirling.

From Stirling bus station (just across the road from the train station) take the #59 bus to Callander. Every 60mins Monday to Saturday. Every 2 hours on Sunday.

From Callander you can either take a 30min walk to The Tryst or take a taxi. We recommend J Morgan Taxis – +44 1877 330496 and that you book in advance.

If you are coming by car sat nav takes you to Callander Holiday Park on your left if coming from Callander. Keep going for another half mile and we are on the left. Entering the drive the left fork is to Wheels Cycle Centre. Take the right fork for Trossachs Tryst – you may need to lower the rope across the drive.

Making your stay more comfortable and enjoyable

As well as bringing whatever you need personally, or what your retreat facilitator has asked you to bring for the event, you might want to think about the following too:

Remember your waterproof jacket, wellies or walking boots if you want to take advantage of the many gorgeous walks around here. If you don’t like the weather in Scotland you just wait half an hour.

Bring your bathers and swim shoes if you fancy a dip in the loch.

May – September is midge season. We advise you to bring a head net and midge repellent if you happen upon a still, humid day while staying. It is also tick season and we advise you to wear long sleeves and long trousers and not to lie down in grass.

A pair of your favourite slippers would be a good idea too as we ask guests to leave shoes at the front door – Japanese style. We have some big woolly socks to loan if you prefer.

Perhaps a blanket/shawl to keep warmer when it gets chilly.

We are a smoking free and an alcohol free venue.

If you are staying residentially we ask that you do not bring your pets. If visiting non-residentially you may bring your pet but ask that you keep them out of the house.

Bring a refillable water bottle.

If you have any food allergies, so we can cater for you, please let us know a week before your arrival .

We do not have onsite camping facilities.

Coming to a rural retreat centre is an opportunity for a digital detox and to deepen your connection with yourselves, other visitors and the beautiful natural environment that we are part of. As such you will not find a television here and there is no guest Wi-fi.  We ask that if you need to use a digital device that you do so in your room and away from communal areas.

May you have a smooth journey

Deep peace to you

Mark and Till
